A COLLECTIVE,

A SAFE SPACE,

A COMMUNITY.

OUR MISSION.

The Ohio Queer Collective is dedicated to researching, documenting, and mapping queer third spaces across

Ohio past and present—in order to preserve their histories,

increase visibility, and support access to safe,

community-centered environments.

What We Do.

    OUR PROMISE.

We make queer spaces in Ohio visible,

    trustworthy, and accessible—while honoring

the histories and communities that shape them.

    OUR VALUES.

Visibility Queer spaces—past and present—deserve to be seen,

    recognized, and remembered.

Access Safe spaces should be discoverable and reachable,

    not hidden or exclusive.

Preservation Histories of queer life in Ohio must be documented

    before they disappear.

Community Spaces are not just locations—they are networks of people,

    care, and connection.

Safety & Care Prioritizing emotional, physical, and social safety in all

    represented spaces.

Authenticity Resisting performative allyship; centering real experiences

    over surface-level representation.
